Startup Name Change

Changing your business name would never be a great idea, so in first place we would never advise any of the founders or the owners to go after this.
I am sure you already understand the reason that changing the name and establishing a new brand in the market would actually mean restarting from zero and almost all the previous marketing and promotion efforts, time and money will be in vein.
The only reason for business name change, which I understand is that you are not getting any customers and unable to grow.
In any case, let’s look at a couple of aspects to be taken care of, if you ever look forward for changing StartUp Names:
1.Awareness: For the first steps that you take in order to
promote your new name, all advertising and marketing efforts should
specify the change. For example you can state, “Your favorite
<< Old Name >> is now more robust with a new look and
name”. This way, you will create an awareness about your
business name change and your previous goodwill will not be 100%
lost.
2.Website: Online presence is very important in order to create an
awareness and attract more customers. With an update in business
name, the business website would also need to be revamped with the
updated domain and branding. Here you need to make sure to redirect
your previous URL to the new one. All the URLs of your old website,
should be redirected to the new one. This way you will make sure
that anyone who is reaching out to you on your old website, lands
on to the new one and you do not end up loosing any of the prospect
customers.

I do not support changing the business name mapquest directions because when changing the business name, customers will no longer be excited and interested in the business.

Update all legal documents, contracts, melon playground and registrations to reflect the new business name. Notify relevant authorities about the change.
